V.I.P. has been ranked by Financial Review’s Smart Investor Magazine for December 2009 as the number one franchise system under $50,000, outscoring its nearest competitor by nearly 10% with an overall score of 84%.
V.I.P. Founder and Chairman, Bill Vis says “While we know that we have a good system, it’s great to be recognised through an independent study as the best franchise system under $50,000.
“Since finishing number two last year, we have implemented new changes to our system, including the introduction of a website giving franchisees the opportunity to showcase testimonials, photos and information about themselves to their own area incorporating the latest in Google map technology.
“We’ve been able to grow the number of franchises in this economic climate because of the appeal of being your own boss and the control over their lives that this gives people. When I started my franchise business in 1979 I was out the front of a factory when an employee came up to me and said ‘why would you want to mow lawns for a living?’ My response that I could work when and where I wanted, as well as earning $200 in a day – which the factory worker earned in a week – was enough to convince him to join.”
Even now V.I.P. has established franchisees making more money in one day than what they were earning as an employee over a whole week.
