About Us

Hi, I'm Robert Clark, welcome to my webpage. I have been a V.I.P. franchisee since 2006. The thing I enjoy about owning my own V.I.P. franchise is having the support network both from State and head office and networking with other franchisees'

Prior to owning my own V.I.P. franchise, I was a policeman for 3 years. Prior to that I had been in the horticulture industry about 9 years

I am a qualified greenkeeper with a diploma in horticulture. I basically do any type of outdoor work at your property with the exception of large tree work and hard landscaping.

My main areas of work are:

• Lawn mowing (both ride on and walk behind). The average lawn mow includes trimming the edges and blowing hard services
• Hedge trimming. This includes removing all debris created. I can provide advice on how much should be trimmed off. The temptation to take a lot off should be avoided as this generally places the plant under undue stress. A plant in a hedge is in the most stressful environment a plant can be in. It is constantly competing for nutrients, light and water from it's "neighbours". Therefore any undue stress (eg pruning too hard) should be avoided.
• Weed spraying. My training included being able to assess the hazards with both herbicide and pesticide application. I believe that this is a area which our industry is severly lacking in training. I am aslo able to select the correct herbicide/pesticide that your situation requires.
• Garden design. With your requirements in mind I am able to select the correct plants to create the desired effect in your garden. I am also able to draw plans "to scale" if required.
• Horticulture advice. As a qualified horticulturalist and greenkeeper I am able to advise you on any garden and lawn programmes you require. I am also able to plan and implement a year round lawn and garden programme for your property.
• Fertilising. I can assess your plants and provide the adequate fertiliser they require.
• Soil analysis. Often people mistake a plant in distress as needing fertilising, when the actual cause of the problem is the soil. More specifically it is often the ph (potential hydrogen) of the soil. I can complete a accurate ph test and remedy the situation from these results.
• Pruning. I have the equipment and knowledge to prune any shrub, specialising in Roses. I can also prune small/medium sized trees.
• Mulching. I recommend the application of mulch to garden beds as a adequate mulch level will restrict weed growth and, over time, improve the quality of the existing soil. I can assess your situation and provide the correct type of mulch. A adequate level of muclh will eventually save you money as there will be less weeds to  remove and the existing plants will have a greater chance of thriving (therefore replacement plants are less likely).
