V.I.P. have formed an association with Complete Leafscreener Services Pty Ltd. Put simply, a high quality mesh is inserted under the second row of roof tiles and securely fixed to outer edge of the gutter - entry of debris is prevented yet system can easily be flushed once a year. With recent spate of high winds, several of my customers have experienced fallen trees. While the SES assists in cutting up branches and rendering site safe, they are NOT permitted to take the debris away. So call me instead - I'll remove the debris and clean up the site too!

Tonia on the mend

Following her full hip replacement, my wife (Tonia) is starting to come good - so much so, a whole new list of tasks to do around the house has appeared! She's now back at her work in the city and coping well, although a little sore at the end of the day. We sincerely thank you for your cards, messages and good wishes.

New franchisees

Some of you will remember James Crimmins - the young guy who I was training in January. I'm delighted to tell you he has gone on to be doing very well in his Glen Iris franchise - even getting compliments from our Chairman (Bill Vis).

My latest trainee was Don Alpert - you'll know him by his American accent. He's now on his way to get his Wantirna South franchise into shape. By the way - Don is a wizard at concrete edging strips and the like - call me if you'd like his number!

Now's an excellent time to look at a V.I.P. franchise - security, satisfaction and a safe introduction into self employment. If anyone in your family or circle of friends is "itching" why not get them to have a yarn with me, or ask me for an Information Pack to give them?

Hedge trim Mackellar Avenue

The STIHL Hedgetrimmer attachment fitted to KM130R engine makes short work of this hedge - the cutting blades can be set to almost any angle, reducing the need for ladders

Ferntree Plaza

The grounds surrounding the busy Ferntree Plaza Shopping Centre (in Upper Ferntree Gully) have been maintained by myself for the last year. Hedges throughout the site have to be kept trimmed and not restrict driver vision. Nature strips are mown. A large border along blind side of the complex contains numerous trees, which have to be monitored and lopped as required.

Knox Community Health Centre

The Shire Hall is heritage listed and has strong links with the Ferntree Gully of old.

It continues to serve the community well, being now part of the Knox Community Health Centre complex, where medical, dental and nursing operations are conveniently located.

Shrubs at the main entrance had been decimated by the drought. Many had died or suffered at the hands of vandals. Not the most pleasing welcome to staff or visitors - replacement was long overdue!

Hebe "Inspiration" and Luma Apiculata were selected to match original plantings and sourced from the Din San Nursery at Dingley.

In all, 70 shrubs were collected, delivered on site and planted direct from the trailer - no mess, no fuss - the V.I.P. way!
