Our Story
As we enter our 45th year in operation, we’re reminded of our humble beginnings and where it all began back in 1979, as the very first home services franchise company in Australia, and only the 3rd franchise company in the country.
Like any good idea, it comes to you when you least expect it…
Bill Vis was working as a door-to-door vacuum cleaner salesman in the 1970’s when he noticed his potential customers needed their lawns mowed.
After a conversation about an unwanted vacuum cleaner, Bill asked if he could mow their lawns and the rest is history.
Home services offerings were not commonplace in the 1970’s, however by 1979, Bill had carved out a niche in garden maintenance and launched V.I.P. Home Services – the first franchise of its kind in Australia.
Home cleaning followed in the 1990’s with commercial cleaning launching in 2008, followed by the suite of offerings available today including carpet cleaning and end of lease cleaning.
