New Year New Career
10 Jan 19
The new year traditionally is a time of New Year’s Resolutions, usually around something healthy - like giving up smoking, actually getting to the gym instead of letting that gym membership go unused, or choosing to eat healthy foods more often.
But what if you’ve tried the regular type of New Year’s Resolutions, year after year, and you’re still feeling that something is not quite right? Maybe it’s time to take a look at what you’re doing for work.
How happy are you at work?
There’s a lot of research around showing that most Australians are not happy with their job. Most people would not recommend their company to a friend looking for employment, and workplace stress affects almost three quarters of employees. That’s an awful lot of Australians who are not very happy with what they’re doing for the majority of their waking hours. Day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year… after year.
Going back to work after the Christmas/New Year holiday break is the time when many people finally realise they really don’t want to be there anymore. If this sounds like you, it might be time to consider a new career.
